The California and Washington Departments of Agriculture, in cooperation with WUSATA, will be hosting the WUSATA China Retail Inbound Buying Mission from May 24-28, 2010.

This will be an excellent opportunity for companies to participate in the growing Chinese market.  In 2008, total U.S. agricultural exports surpassed $11 billion, increasing an estimated 20 percent from the previous year. China remains a dynamic and high growth market for Western United States' agricultural products. In 2008, with the total value exceeding USD 900 billion, the Chinese retail market increased by 20 percent over the previous year. This reflects rapid development in modern retail formats and the willingness for consumers to pay a little more to add features of safety and higher quality.
