Fresno’s CITD organizes inbound trade missions to provide California businesses with an opportunity for face-to-face contact with pre-qualified potential foreign buyers. These events have proven highly successful for many local businesses, and opened the door for long-term trade relationships. In the past few years, the CITD has coordinated trade missions with buying delegations from over 15 different countries including: Mexico, South America, Canada, China, Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, Philippines, European Union, Middle East, India and many more countries.

WUSATA 2017 Europe Dried Fruit & Nut Inbound Mission
Dec. 6-8, 2017 - The Western U.S. Agricultural Trade Association (WUSATA®), and the Arizona, California and New Mexico State Departments of Agriculture, announce participation and registration in the following activity: Europe Dried Fruit and Nut Inbound Buying Mission to Arizona, California and New Mexico, December 6th – December 8th, 2017.
The European Union is the world’s largest importer of agricultural commodities and food, with $60 billion USD imports coming from the United States. The combined GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of the EU economies was approximately $16.31 trillion USD in 2015, placing it far ahead of China. The EU is the largest market for dried fruit and nuts, representing more than 40% of the world total imports. Import volumes are predicted to rise as the consumer markets for natural, low sugar, and safe products grow in this region.

WUSATA 2017 Central America Produce Inbound Trade Mission to CA, WA
July 24 - 28, 2017 - This will be a great opportunity for companies to meet buyers in the growing SE Asia Market. The inbound Trade Mission is sponsored by the Western U.S Agriculture Trade Association ( WUSATA) and the 13 western states Department of Agriculture. This event will be held in conjunction with WUSATA Southeast Asia and Mexico inbound produce trade mission. The combination will bring more than 15 buyers from over three countries to California to meet with fresh produce suppliers. Every participant may join a one -on -one business meeting or have the opportunity to host the buyer delegation at their facilities for field production and processing tours.

ATO China Shanghai Nut Buying Mission
September 26-27, 2016 - This will be an excellent opportunity for companies to participate in the growing nut market in China. China is the largest export markets for U.S. tree nuts. The United States Department of Agriculture Agricultural Trade Office Shanghai Nut Buyer Inbound Mission will consist of site visits and 30 minute group presentations in Modesto and Fresno.
